What we collect and why

This Fucking Guy keeps the data footprint intentionally small. We collect enough information to run accounts, publish content, moderate the site, and send only the emails a user asked to receive.

Account data. When you create an account, we store your email address, authentication identifiers, profile handle, and any public bio you choose to publish.

User content. We store posts, comments, reports, votes, moderation actions, and related timestamps so the site can function and maintain an audit trail.

Email preferences. We store whether an address is subscribed to the weekly indictment, Offender Sender updates, and post activity notifications, along with unsubscribe history and delivery feedback signals used to honor opt-outs and suppress problematic recipients.

What stays private. Email addresses are private account data. Handles, bios, posts, comments, and public profiles are intended to be visible on the site.

Why we use the data. We use data to authenticate users, display public content, moderate abuse, operate email notifications, and improve site safety and reliability. We do not sell mailing lists or publish private email addresses.

How to control it. Logged-in users can manage email preferences from their profile. Email messages include unsubscribe links where applicable, and the public unsubscribe route is available at /unsubscribe.
